We’ve had an absolute flurry of last-minute entries for our auction of Classic, Performance and Supercars at Bolesworth Castle next Sunday, 22nd September. As we type this, the Hampson team is flat-out photographing, writing catalogue descriptions and uploading everything to our website, so we have a very busy few days ahead of us! And what a wonderfully diverse selection of lots we have to offer you! From this outstanding, 365-miles from new 2024 Aston Martin DB12 (see details below) to a fabulously characterful 1935 Austin 12/4 Taxicab – which would make a fantastic film or TV vehicle or museum exhibit – and with an outstanding mix of supercars, sports cars, saloons, GT cars and even a classic 1941 Ford Woodie, a Mini Pickup and a Volkswagen T2 camper van, there is something for every taste. We even have a 1980 Vauxhall Cavalier MK1 in time-capsule condition, with only 21,522 miles. And, with almost half of the lots catalogued so far offered at No Reserve, there’s also something for every budget! |
2024 Aston Martin DB12 Bold and brilliant in Cosmos Orange, this example of Aston Martin’s DB12 coupe comes with a plethora of desirable options added. Powered by a 680hp 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, ‘EX24 GRU’ sees that power put through an eight-speed automatic gearbox to the rear wheels. Superbly specified, this DB12’s translucent paint is complemented by black accents across the exterior – kitted out by careful picking of Aston Martin’s black packs – including badging, detail panels, vents, wing mirrors, smoked tail-lights and 21-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the theme continues, though in reverse. Trimmed in black leather with orange stitching, the sports seats are upholstered in quilted, ventilated leather, and the centre console and door cards see the same diamond motif used. Factory fitted equipment includes a heated multi-function sports steering wheel with gear shift paddles, digital instrument panel, large touchscreen system, dynamic adjustment controls, and electric seats. The vendor is the only owner from new – unsurprising for such a new car – though more surprising is that the warranted mileage is just 365 miles; this DB12 is not even run in. As such, it includes the remainder of the one year Tracker subscription, as well as the rest of the three-year tyre and alloy refurbishment plan, covering up to five tyres and ten refurbishments. Protected with a Gtechniq ceramic coating, the quality of the paintwork has added ongoing security, though naturally, considering the mileage, it’s considered ‘excellent’ by the vendor. The engine, transmission, electrics, bodywork, and interior are all rated the same, as ‘EX24 GRU’ was ordered in June 2023, and registered in March 2024. Estimate: £180,000 – £200,000 |
