Bidder Registration Deposit

To participate in certain Hampson Auctions sales, bidders may be required to pay a refundable Bidder Registration Deposit before being approved to bid.

• The minimum Bidder Registration Deposit is £500. Hampson Auctions reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to require a higher deposit depending on the value of the vehicle, the bidder’s requested bidding limit, payment method, previous bidding history, or any other relevant circumstances.
• The Bidder Registration Deposit is held as security for the bidder’s contractual obligations arising from any successful bid.
• If you are unsuccessful, your deposit will be refunded to the original payment method within 10 working days of the auction concluding.
• If you are the successful purchaser, your deposit will be credited in full against the purchase price and deducted from the balance due on your final invoice.
• A successful bid constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase the vehicle in accordance with Hampson Auctions’ Terms and Conditions.
• If a successful bidder fails to complete the purchase for any reason, including failing to pay the balance due within the specified timescale, refusing to complete the transaction, or otherwise breaching these Terms and Conditions, the Bidder Registration Deposit shall be forfeited and retained by Hampson Auctions.
• Hampson Auctions may apply the forfeited deposit towards any administration charges, remarketing costs, losses, expenses or other sums incurred as a result of the buyer’s default. The forfeiture of the deposit does not limit Hampson Auctions’ or the seller’s right to recover any additional losses or pursue any other legal or contractual remedies available.
• Deposits will only be refunded to the original payment method used to make the payment.
• By paying a Bidder Registration Deposit and participating in the auction, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
• Hampson Auctions reserves the right to refuse, suspend, cancel or revoke any bidder registration, bidding approval or bidding limit at any time and at its absolute discretion, with or without providing a reason. Where no legally binding purchase contract has been formed, any refundable deposit held will be returned in accordance with these Terms.
